Breaking Ground: Ngatea Library and Community Hub Project.

Nemean is thrilled to announce the upcoming groundbreaking of the Ngatea Library and Community Hub project. This bespoke facility, developed in collaboration with Hauraki District Council, represents a significant milestone in community infrastructure for the Ngatea region.

It will be more than just a library - it's designed as a central community hub that seamlessly integrates with existing amenities including sports fields, a playground, and memorial space. The building will feature dedicated spaces for teens and children, a community hall, and facilities to support freedom camping visitors.

The project's complex geometric design required extensive Building Information Modelling (BIM) coordination between disciplines. Our engineering team worked through multiple iterations to optimize the integration of structural elements with architectural features, while ensuring constructability and efficient services routing throughout the building. We ve also worked closely with project stakeholders to optimize the design, particularly focusing on foundation solutions and site integration. The project showcases Nemean's multidisciplinary capabilities, combining our expertise in structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering.
